Easy Peazy Pizza Base! (and DF Naan bread option!)

I love using this recipe when we have hoards to feed as it doesn't use yeast, and therefore doesn't require rising time. You literally mix the dough, spread it, add the topping and bake! Easy Peasy! My kids love making it too! You can also halve the recipe to make 4 quick and easy Naan breads without dairy (yogurt)

Easy Peazy Pizza Base (DF option)

Ingredients:
Base:
500ml Self Raising Flour (or 500ml Flour & 10ml Baking Powder)
30g Margarine
200-250ml milk (DF: Used oat milk)

Tomato Sauce:
1 Can Tomato and onion mix
10ml Italian herbs (or 5ml basil and 5ml oregano)
1ml Salt
2 Cloves Garlic
Fresh black pepper
200g cheese (DF: Use Vegan cheese of choice)
other toppings of your choice

Topping Ideas:
Boerewors slices with green pepper strips
Bacon and Banana
Ham and Pineapple
Bolognaise mince
Salami, mushroom and Avo

Method:
1. Preheat your oven to 200*
2. Mix flour and margarine in a mixing bowl with beaters, slowly adding milk until it goes from breadcrumb consistency to dough (not too sticky though)
3. Spread the dough evenly onto 1 greased baking tray, or divide it into 2 and spread onto 2 greased pizza plates.
4. Heat the tinned tomato, herbs, salt, garlic and black pepper in a saucepan and simmer for a couple of minutes.
5. Spread the tomato sauce evenly onto the base.
6. Chop and prepare your topping and grate the cheese.
7. Sprinkle the toppings onto the base, and cover with the grated cheese
8. Bake in a warm oven for 20-25 minutes or until the base is golden brown.
